FINANCIAL ANALYST - OIL AND GAS
Financial Analyst: (E & P Experience)
This position will assist the asset team with annual capital and operation budget planning, monitoring and forecasting. The position will gather, analyze and report monthly financial results for asset to management. This position will be the liaison for the asset team with the accounting/finance department.
Job Responsibilites
• Prepares monthly asset level variance analysis including production volumes, capital and operations expenses.
• Provides monthly financial reporting to asset team and management.
• Coordinates AFE preparation, approval and monitoring.
• Provides ad-hoc reporting to team.
• Prepares monthly accruals for production, lifting expense and capital.
• Coordinates and prepares annual capital and operations budgets.
• Coordinates and prepares annual post-audit review of development program.
• Provides guidance and decisions around capital vs. expense, exploration vs. development, and other areas.
• Provides economic analysis and modeling to support project and investment decisions.
• Provides financial support to long-range planning activities related to production, expenses, capital and price differentials.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred (E & P experience will be strongly considered in lieu of Degree)
• A minimum of five (5) years accounting/finance experience in Oil and Gas is required.
• Advanced MS Office skills are required. Excellent modeling and data/ database manipulation skills required.
• Excellent financial analysis and communication skills required.
