Engineering Tech - Oil & Gas
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Updates prospect data in Preemo pertaining to the Company Prospect Inventory, and responds to data requests on inventory.
Obtains/procures various well/prospect reports and compiles information for the engineering staff.
Assists engineers with analysis and development option evaluations, including preparation of meeting notes, workshop results and in-house study reports, etc.
Assists in the preparation of presentation materials for management review, including compiling and extracting engineering data and creating displays, reports and other information conveyances.
Acquires and compiles pertinent technical data from vendors and engineers and assists in preparing technical specifications.
Performs economic sensitivity runs (Price, Rate, Capex, Resource and others) using ARIES economics model, and assists engineers in conducting analysis of economic parameters to established economic development models.
Compiles formation evaluation data from drilling programs and maintains updated datasets using LiveLink or other compilation methods.
Helps gather Prospect/Analog data and information for Lease Sale and Prospect evaluations.
Acts as a resource to other exploration and appraisal organizations within the Company.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Associates degree in Petroleum Technology a
Prefer: Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics/Finance, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Physics or other pure and applied sciences.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry working in an Engineering Tech or Engineering Support Services role.
Requires general knowledge of oil and gas geology and concepts of reservoir engineering.
Experience in running economics models, preparation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applications including Powerpoint is required.
